This comic adventure for 6- to 8-year-olds celebrates creativity in a wacky alternate universe where art comes to life. Starring Nina and two friends she created with paint – Streak and Little – ARTOPIA explores themes that connect art from around the world. In the pilot episode, "Monsters Ink," the trio goes on a quest to find the monster who stole a king's crown, meeting other monsters from art along the way. In addition to airing on WNET and WLIW, the full pilot episode is also viewable online at www.thirteen.org/artopia, where kids can watch the show, play a monster game, and tell us what they think of ARTOPIA. |
